How Kalman FAT Suite works
The workflow is built for industrial automation FAT execution. The structure is: Project → Test Area → Test Package → Test Item.
1. Account and projects
Sign in with your email. A confirmation link is sent to your inbox. After login you can create multiple projects. Your project data is saved in the website database and is available again when you log in later.
2. Test Areas
Test Areas are high-level sections such as Standard IO, Safety IO, Communication, HMI Checks, Functional Tests and Manual Checks.
3. Test Packages
Each Test Area contains Test Packages. For example Standard IO can contain Analog Inputs, Analog Outputs, Digital Inputs and Digital Outputs. Each Test Package has one editable common test procedure.
4. Test Items
Each signal, screen, communication point or manual check is one Test Item. The operator sets one result per item: Passed, Failed, Punch, Blocked or N/A.
5. Excel template
Download the Excel template, fill your FAT data, then import it into a project. You can also export an Excel project workbook at any stage and import it again later.
6. Execution panel
Click the pencil icon to open the side execution panel. There you can edit all item fields, write comments, create punch/action information, use quick comments and review details.
7. Filters and navigation
Filters apply only when you press Apply Filters. Use Next Open, Next Failed and Next Punch to move quickly during live FAT.
8. Reports
Use report profiles such as Customer FAT Report, Internal Full Report, Punch List Only and Management Summary. The report includes cover page, summary, selected test results, punch list, attendance/signature page and notes page.
9. Pop-up help
Look for the small “?” icons. Move your mouse over them to see short guidance for that function.
